A Study for Women with PCOS seeking to become pregnant
Who can participate? Women ages 18 - 40 with infertility due to polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the leading cause of infertility.
What is the purpose of the REBALANCE study? PCOS is caused by a hormone imbalance which can affect the menstrual cycle. The REBALANCE Study is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational procedure called Ovarian Rebalancing™, intended to help women ovulate.
The Ovarian Rebalancing procedure is a one-time, outpatient procedure performed using pain medication and sedation and should take about one hour. The Ovarian Rebalancing procedure uses radiofrequency energy to gently heat a small portion of the ovarian tissue responsible for hormone production, which is intended to help with ovulation.
Where? The study is being conducted at select doctors’ offices throughout the US.
How long does the study last? Following your procedure, you will return to your doctor’s office approximately 6 times over a 3-year period to evaluate your progress and discuss your experiences.
Is there any cost to me? No, if you qualify and choose to join the REBALANCE Study you will receive all study-related care at no cost to you.
Will I be compensated for my participation? Yes, participants will be compensated for their time and travel to complete study tests. Your local study site can discuss compensation in further detail.
